The obverse of the silver coin shows the "railjet", a new highspeed ÖBB train, which has been introduced with the timetable change of 2008/09. The Railjet defines new standards in long-distance travelling in terms of speed, comfort, design and equipment. The train is emerging from a tunnel.
The reverse is dedicated to the transportation of cargo and shows the perspective view of a marshalling yard with different types of goods wagons. In the foreground is shown an electric locomotive of the 1063 class.
